This conference will be held between Sept. 24-28th, 2009 and has the following objectives:

• to provide cross-training for both positions thereby enhancing the knowledge base within the organization; "building capacity"
  
• to provide training on and promote the NTA communication system;
• to provide networking opportunities for NTA staff through a Nunavut wide conference;
• to provide the Department of Education an opportunity to present two days of ASIST training (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. see www.livingworks.net );
• enhance the professional improvement experience for participants from previous years by providing an opportunity to hear from "external experts" on topics of interest and concerns to the NPIC.
